On October 12, a handover ceremony for emergency humanitarian medical supplies provided by the Chinese government to Jordan in support of Gaza was held in Jordan. Mr. Gong Anmin, the Charge D'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Jordan, and Mr. Hatem Al-Abadi, Assistant Director General of the Royal Medical Services, attended the ceremony. Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy Mr. Cheng Yongru was also present.

Mr. Gong emphasized that China remains deeply concerned about the humanitarian situation in Gaza. This assistance represents a further step in implementing the measures previously announced by President Xi Jinping to support Palestine. It also marks another instance of humanitarian cooperation between China and Jordan, following China's humanitarian food assistance to Gaza through Jordan. China stands ready to work with Jordan to promote lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.

Al-Abadi expressed gratitude to China for providing humanitarian medical assistance. He stated that the medical supplies provided by China would help improve the treatment conditions and healthcare service capabilities of local medical institutions in Jordan, thereby alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people. He added that Jordan looks forward to further deepening cooperation with China in the field of humanitarian assistance.
