On August 13, Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Guo Wei met with Ms. Amal Mowafy, Country Coordinator of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Jordan.

Ambassador Guo noted that Ms. Mowafy has long been engaged in areas including employment policy, labour market, youth and women’s employment, and the protection of workers’ rights. She has worked to promote social dialogue, strengthen the alignment between trade and investment policies and employment policies, and support Jordan in advancing its national public program. China has also made substantial efforts to help Jordan create new jobs and provide vocational and skills training.

Ms. Mowafy said that the ILO attaches importance to strengthening cooperation with China, drawing on China’s experience and practices in employment policies and social protection, and looking forward to exploring new areas of cooperation in Jordan.
