On August 9, Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Guo Wei met with Mazen Darwazah, President of Jordan’s largest pharmaceutical company.

Ambassador Guo noted that Jordan’s pharmaceutical industry is among the leading companies in the Arab world and is also one of the priority sectors and advanced industries under Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision. With a regional presence and a global outlook, Jordan’s pharmaceutical industry has continued to expand international cooperation. There is broad potential for cooperation between Chinese and Jordanian pharmaceutical companies in research, development, and promotion of innovative medicines.

Darwazah said that Jordan attaches great importance to learning from China’s experience in developing its pharmaceutical industry, exploring the Chinese market, and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between pharmaceutical companies of the two countries.
