On August 5, Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Guo Wei met with Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah.

Ambassador Guo noted that the implementation of the second phase of Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision has got off to a smooth start. In the first half of the year, both industrial output and total foreign trade registered growth, helping to accelerate Jordan’s economic transition toward high-value-added manufacturing and more diversified export markets. Industrial cooperation and trade between China and Jordan have advanced steadily, further consolidating the foundation for the two countries’ strategic cooperation.

Minister Qudah stated that Jordan regards China as an important trading partner and looks forward to seeing more Chinese companies establish factories and develop businesses in Jordan. He expressed the hope that the both sides would work together to strengthen Jordan’s position as a regional trade hub and deepen Jordan-China industrial cooperation.
