On December 9, Chinese Ambassador to Jordan H.E. Guo Wei met with Jordan Food & Drug Administration Director General Dr. Rana Obeidat.

Ambassador Guo noted that China’s “15th Five-Year Plan” aligns with the development goals of Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision. He expressed hope that the 2026 China–Arab States Summit will serve as an opportunity to promote further cooperation between China and Jordan in these fields including food safety, pharmaceuticals, and public health.

Dr. Obeidat stated that Jordan attaches great importance to regulation and development in areas such as food safety, pharmaceuticals, and public health. She expressed Jordan’s willingness to learn from China’s advanced experience and practices, and to further deepen and expand cooperation.
