China Product Fair was opened on September 15, 2004 by Chinese Ambassador H.E. Luo Xingwu and Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Jordan here in Amman. 80 specialized Chinese companies from all fields brought their high quality products to the fair.

Chinese Ambassador Mr. Luo Xingwu, in his speech at the opening ceremony, highlighted that the fair is the biggest ever held by China in Jordan in the past decade and came after His Majesty King Abdullah II finished the successful visit to China two months ago. He said that the fair is another important step taken by China to further promote China-Jordan bilateral relations.

The 4-day Fair, held in the Amman International Motor Center, was co-sponsored by China and Jordan. Some of the China's most renowned enterprises such as Haier, Kelon, ZTE were attending the exhibition. Products on display range from textile products, household appliances to telecommunication facilities, etc. The companies expressed their interest in introducing their products to Iraq through Jordan, the gateway to Iraq.

The Vice President of the Jordanian Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Riad Saifi said this fair offered a valuable chance for Jordanians to know more about the highly competitive Chinese products. Jordan hopes that more Chinese enterprises could come to Jordan to promote Jordan-China economic and trade cooperation and bring tangible benefits to both people.
