On March 22, H.E. Chen Chuandong, Chinese Ambassador to Jordan, met with H.E. Hamdi Tabbaa, Chairman of the Jordanian Businessmen Association, and other members of the JBA Board of Directors to discuss strengthening economic, trade, and cultural cooperation between the two countries. The meeting was attended by Chen Xiangguo, First Secretary of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy, and other officials.

Mr. Tabbaa and other JBA Board Directors lauded China's remarkable development achievements over the past few decades and expressed their eagerness to work with Chinese businesses to further expand bilateral trade and investment.

Ambassador Chen expressed his appreciation to the JBA and the Jordanian business community for their contribution to economic and trade cooperation between China and Jordan. He noted that bilateral trade volume between the two countries and China's investment in Jordan have increased significantly in the past year. He highlighted that Chinese businesses looked forward to leveraging opportunities offered by Jordan's new Investment Environment Law to further deepen cooperation with Jordan. He encouraged Jordanian companies to actively participate in trade exhibitions such as the Canton Fair and the China International Import Expo. The Ambassador also emphasized that the Chinese Embassy stood ready to assist business associations of the two countries in strengthening their ties.
