On 8 March, His Excellency Mr. Chen Chuandong, the Chinese Ambassador to Jordan, met with the Jordanian Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, His Excellency Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, in the presence of the Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy, Ms. Shi Wei. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on promoting China-Jordan cooperation in the field of education.

Ambassador Chen said that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, China-Jordan relations and cooperation in various fields have continuously deepened. The two countries face common opportunities and challenges in their development process. The Chinese side appreciates and supports the Jordanian side in realizing its modernization visions. Exchanges and cooperation in the field of education play an important role in promoting the comprehensive and healthy development of bilateral relations, and China is fully prepared to steadily promote relevant collaboration projects and strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Jordan in the fields of higher education and vocational training.

Minister Mahafzah spoke positively of the achievements of educational cooperation between Jordan and China, and expressed his aspiration for more ways to enhance practical cooperation between the two countries in the field of education.

The two sides also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
