On March 2, H.E. Chen Chuandong, Ambassador of China to Jordan met with H.E. Nasser Shraideh, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation，and discussed bilateral cooperation in areas such as response to the pandemic, infrastructure, assistance in training.

Ambassador Chen hailed China-Jordan friendly ties and cooperation and applauded the role Jordan plays in regional and international affairs and its contribution as a major host of refugees. Chen recognized the challenges Jordan faces in economic and social development and reaffirmed China’s commitment to continuing assistance to Jordan within its capacity through multilateral and bilateral channels in the framework of South-South cooperation.

Minister Shraideh welcomed Ambassador Chen to Jordan and spoke highly of China-Jordan relations and China’s important role in international affairs. He thanked China for its support to Jordan’s economic and social development and assistance for fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. The Minister expressed his hope to expand exchanges and cooperation between China and Jordan in various fields.
