Batayneh, Badran explore business opportunities with Chinese officials

Minister of Transport Alaa Batayneh on Sunday discussed with Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Yu Hongyang prospects for further cooperation in the field of transport. During a meeting yesterday, Batayneh underlined the need to boost cooperation with China in the field of transport industry. The diplomat underscored his country's interest in the implementation of the national railway network . Jordan is keen to conclude an agreement with China for the mutual recognition of marine competency certificates, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Also yesterday, Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) Deputy Chairwoman Reem Badran, called on Chinese companies to make use of investment opportunities available in the Kingdom, particularly in the fields of water, renewable energy and railway transport. She made her remarks during a meeting with a Chinese delegation chaired by Chen Jiwa, deputy secretary of the Chinese Communist Party's committee of the Guangxi Zhuangzu autonomous region.(Jordan Times)
